The answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is 42. We know this from the excellent book (subsequently made into a radio series, TV series and film) The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams1.

Close shaves and salutes

As the dust settles on the 2017 General Election campaign, we find that the most right wing Tory government ever is to be replaced by the same bunch but this time held in place by the Democratic Unionist Party.
