Anyone studying the policies supported by the three main Westminster parties in recent years would be hard pressed to find any significant differences between them. This close grouping of the Tories, LibDems and Labour as right wing parties has been confirmed by the website Political Compass (who plot the parties' policies on a chart measuring left/right and authoritarianism/libertarianism).

The Courier is reporting that the Hollywood actor, prominent Yes campaigner and voice of Duggy Dug Brian Cox is leaving the Labour Party and joining the Scottish National Party.

New Indie supporting daily newspaper to launch next week

The Drum is reporting that owners of the Herald and Sunday Herald, Newsquest, will be launching a new daily newspaper next week. The newspaper will be priced at 50p, available from Monday November 24th and will support Scottish Independence. The "National" will initially be published as a pilot.

The Catalan News Agency is reporting that Catalans have overwhelmingly voted "Yes" "Yes" in their non-binding referendum (November 9th 2014) on independence from Spain.

Scottish opinion open to another referendum

In what is certain to be part of the same Ipsos Mori poll we highlighted in the last Wildfire STV have released another extraordinary finding. The poll found that two thirds of voters would support another referendum within ten years regardless of the circumstances and 58% of the poll respondents would support another referendum within five years.
