SNP gain in Glenrothes West and Kinglassie

SNP now control the town's area committee

SNP candidate, Craig Walker, takes over 55% of the vote in the Fife by-election. The second placed Labour candidate took just over 35%.

The full results:

  • SNP - 55.3% (2,539)
  • LAB - 35.8% (1,643)
  • CON - 4.4% (202)
  • UKIP - 3.2% (146)
  • LDEM - 1.3% (61)
  • Turnout 32.59%

The other Scottish by-election results for Beinn na Foghla (Eilean Siar), Buckie (Moray) and Armadale & Blackridge (West Lothian) are expected later today.
