Anyone studying the policies supported by the three main Westminster parties in recent years would be hard pressed to find any significant differences between them. This close grouping of the Tories, LibDems and Labour as right wing parties has been confirmed by the website Political Compass (who plot the parties' policies on a chart measuring left/right and authoritarianism/libertarianism).
This rightwards shift of Labour and LibDems has resulted in people applying the appellations Red Tories and Yellow Tories to the two parties.
Today, however we find that not only are there few policy differences between the Westminster parties but Labour party members have been circulating the graphic shown above which advocates voting for the Tories both blue and yellow.
You can see the tactical voting graphic, in context, on the Twitter feed of Robert James McNeill who describes himself as:
"SCOTTISH LABOUR All my own views Scottish Labour Party Policy Forum, Vice Chair East Lothian CLP, Chair Tranent Local Labour Party".
Labour's sole campaign message in Scotland, #VoteSNPgetTories, was obvious nonsense before but now we know it is also deceitful as they actually want people to vote for the Tories.
We just wish Keir Hardie was available for comment.
Update 23/2/15: it would appear Mr. McNeill's Twitter account has been deleted.
