Former Labour MP expresses what he really thinks of voters

The Irvine Times is reporting that former Labour MP for Central Ayrshire, Brian Donohoe was, to put it mildly, quite forthright in his opinion of voters in the constituency.

"I’m of an age where I can now turn round with the greatest delight and tell people to ‘f*** off!’ which I haven’t been able to do for a hell of a long time in both my trade union life and also in this one."

Mr. Donohoe was defeated by the SNP's Philippa Whitford who achieved a 13,589 majority in the general election held on May 7th. We suspect Mr. Donohoe won't be contesting the seat in 2020.

Reports that Mr. Donohoe was just attempting to upstage Dick Tuck haven't been confirmed. Mr. Tuck, after losing a California State Senate election, famously said:

"The people have spoken, the bastards."
