Better Together co-ordinator defects to Yes

Should we prepare for the dam to burst?

Gary Wilson, a Better Together co-ordinator with Edinburgh East Labour Party, has defected to Yes and joined Labour for Independence. 

In Gary's own words:

"I had to step down from my role as I gradually realised that we are not, in fact, Better Together. I have listened to all of the arguments whether economic, social or emotional and I am now convinced that Independence is the right thing for Scotland."

Continuing, Gary said:

"I am deeply passionate about fairness, about equality and have been saddened by the Tories attempt to dismantle our welfare state by attacking the most vulnerable in society.

I have come to believe strongly that independence is the only vehicle available for change, and hope to rid Scotland of neoliberal politics."
